James J. Dillon, age 92, of Omaha, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2014, at Cox South in Springfield, Missouri. He was born March 14, 1922, in Peterson, New Jersey, the son of James Henry and Virginia (Bender) Dillon. Along with his parents, James was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathleen A. Hunter; and his son, Michael P. Dillon.

James married Dorothy Kumle December 22, 1945, in Denver, Colorado. He worked for New Jersey Bell Telephone Company in the engineering department. He loved dancing and was a member of the Branson Ballroom Dancers and danced for over thirty years. He built his own homes and enjoyed when the family got together.

James is survived by his wife, Dorothy M. Dillon, of the home; his son and daughter-in-law, Christine M. and James J. Dillon, II, of Middletown, New York; his son-in-law, George Hunter, of California; his grandsons, Sean Dillon, James Dillon, III, Nicholas Dillon, Cory Trowbridge and Travis Hunter; three great-grandchildren; his brother, Frank Dillon; and his sister, Patricia Halliwell.
