Charles Howell, 74, of Clarksville, passed away October 14, 2014 in Little Rock. He was born in Pelham, GA to John Thomas and Ida Mae Parrish Howell. He served as a line foreman in the U.S. Army from 1957-1960, with B Company 25th Signal Battalion. During his service he installed over two thousand miles of communication lines in support of the 7th Army. He retired from Smart and Final and ran a restaurant, ''Old Charlie's,'' for many years in Clarksville. Charles spent many hours caring for the cattle he loved.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Hembria Howell of Clarksville; daughter, Sharon Howell and fiancé Brian Biscamp of Clarksville; son, Frank Howell of Yucca Valley, CA; brothers, John Howell of Cedar Key, FL and Jerry Howell of Anacoco, LA; sisters, Joyce Hooke of Plant City, FL and Faye Shepard of Crawfordville, FL.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 17, from 6:00 8:00pm. at Roller-Cox Funeral Home in Clarksville. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00am at East Mt. Zion Cemetery with Rev. Don Alexander officiating. Frank Howell, Jerry Howell, Brian Biscamp, John Howell, Ed Hooke and David Smith will serve as pallbearers.
