Betty Ruth Looper-Hartin, age 87, of Harrison, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison. She was born June 24, 1927, in Arlington, Texas, the daughter of Olive and Dora (Johnson) McFadin. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Walter Looper and James Hartin; her son, James Crabb; and her brothers, Dudley McFAdin, Gene McFadin, and Ralph McFadin. She was a member of Northside Church of Christ.

Betty is survived by her son, Fred M. Looper and Rachel Young, of Harrison; her daughters and sons-in-law, Terry Lee and George Preston of Texas and Judy (Crabb) and Robert Bading of Virginia; her sister, Dora (McFadin) Scoggins; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Roark) Shaw and husband Charles, Olivia (Preston) Nelson, Nicole Preston and Mikaela Preston; her great-grandchildren, Bailey Singletary, Josie Shaw, Emma Nelson and Haley Jo Nelson; and a host of other family and friends.



Visitation was Thursday, October 16, 2014, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.

Funeral service was Friday, October 17, 2014, at Northside Church of Christ with Steve Powers and Sam Alexander officiating.

Interment was in Hill Top Cemetery.

Pallbearers were George Preston, Anthony McFadin, Gordon McFadin.
