Janice Irene Morrison, age 88, of Harrison, passed away Thursday, October 02, 2014, in Harrison, Arkansas. She was born April 24, 1926, in Gray, Maine, the daughter of Carroll and Dorothy (Sawyer) Doughty. Along with her parents, Mrs. Morrison was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Mrs. Morrison was of the Baptist faith. She was a homemaker.
Janice is survived by her husband, Ira Joseph Morrison, of the home; her son and daughter-in-law, Clinton and Laura Morrison, of Harrison; her daughters and sons-in-law, Marcia and Gary Oser of Greenville, Ohio, Joanne and Phil Brown of The Villages, Florida, Fay and Tom Phillips of Schroon Lake, New York and Cheryl and Mike Shakespeare of Juneau, Alaska; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; her brother, Ronald Doughty, of Connecticut; and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation was Sunday, October 5, 2014, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
Funeral services was Monday, October 6, 2014, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, with Scott Phillips officiating.
Interment was in New Hope Cemetery near Omaha, Arkansas.
Pallbearers were Gary Oser, Phil Brown, Tom Phillips, Robbie Phillips, Stephen Oser and Scott Phillips.
We will miss grandma Janice. She was a blessing to our family in many ways. May The Lord strengthen and encourage grandpa Ira in this loss.
We known she will be missed by Mr. Ira , her family and all who knew her. Will be praying for you!
