Ruby Marie Williamson, age 95, of Harrison, died Saturday, August 9, 2014, in Harrison. She was born September 21, 1918, in Monte Ne, Arkansas, the daughter of William Alexander and Sarah (Weir) Gobble. Along with her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her son, James Lee Williamson; two sisters; and two brothers.
Ruby lived in various places in Benton County, Arkansas when growing up. She married Robert Lee Williamson March 1, 1940. After marrying Robert, they moved to Springdale where they lived until 1950. The family then moved to Siloam Springs, Arkansas until 1961. They then moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma and lived there until the death of her son, James, in 2005. They then moved to Harrison to live with their daughter.
Ruby is survived by her husband of 74 years, Robert Williamson; her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Jerry Cash; three grandchildren, Jason Cash, Brian Cash and his wife Shawna, and Regina Troutt; three great-grandchildren, Garrett Cash, Liani Cash, and Avery Troutt; her special niece, Connie Sharp; and a host of other family and friends.
Graveside service is 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at Maple Leaf Cemetery, with Bro. Glenn Crenshaw officiating.
Pat and family, our prayers and thoughts are with you on the homegoing of your Mom. It seems it is so hard to lose our Moms as they are such special people to us. God bless all of you.
