of Joiner, AR
November 25, 1931 - August 7, 2014
E.J. ''Eddie'' Adams, Sr., 82, of Sandridge, AR went to be with the Lord on August 7, 2014 in Osceola. Born in Memphis, TN on November 25, 1931 to the late William and Ivah Adams, he was a member of Wardell Baptist Church (since 1954). He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, five sisters and one grandson Ronnie Bennett, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Anne Goudeaux Adams of Sandridge; two sons, Mark Adams of Joiner and E.J. ''Eddie'' Adams, Jr. (Sheri) of Sandridge; one daughter, Sherrie Bennett of Sandridge; four grandchildren: Brooke Williams, Silas Edward Adams, Ethan Jennings Adams and Elijah Lane Adams; seven great grandchildren: Briannah, Bailey, Schuyler, Eja, Legend, Gracie and Miranda; one brother Hugh Lynn Adams of Sandridge, and special friend and co-heart Jimmy Brown of Bassett. Eddie was the youngest son of 12 children. His early adulthood saw him running draglines & machine shops though he was probably best known for his years as owner/operating Blytheville Bearing. He was a devoted Christian and nothing made him happier than helping people. He liked to be the first one in and the last one out of Wardell Baptist Church. He loved life, family, work and horses and he claimed that we were all living in the "Good Ole Days" right now. His work ethic was unmatched and he left this world making it better.
E. J. Adams was one of the greatest men I have ever met. I learned so much from him and will never forget him. Condolences to the Adams family.
So sorry for your loss, may God bless you Ann and Sheri and boys.
Prayers for your family.
I am just learning of your loss. Just know that I am and will continue to keep your family in my prayers. Eddie was one of a kind and there are no words to describe the loss of a family member. Love to you all in your time of sorrow.
We are so saddened by Eddie's death. We will miss seeing him at all the gatherings of people from our community. He always thought of others and would help out in any way he could. We had to take grandchildren home or we would have attended the services. Our prayers to Ann and all the family.
Eddie was a great man. He called on me while I was at loxcreen as purchasing agent and went the extra step to make sure we had the necessary supplies he carried whether it was bearings, files or sandpaper and had a good team at the Blytheville store and without a doubt was a people person always with their best interest in mind
With deepest sympathy.
This earth has lost a truly fine and kind man. RIP.
Deepest sympathy to your family. Mr. Eddie was a great man and always remembered as a great teacher of our youth class at Wardell.

My heart is broken and my love goes out to Ann and the Family. Eddie was like family. He would always help you smile when things were bad and always had words of wisdom when needed. He worked very hard at Wardell Church and Newside Bassett Cemetery. I don't know of anyone who can fill his shoes in this community and he will be missed greatly! I wish I could hear his jokes just once more. I will meet you in heaven Eddie so watch for me.God bless all the Family.
