Al Tomlinson, 74, of Jonesboro, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born June 18, 1940 in Jonesboro to Carl and Sis Polston Tomlinson. Al was the owner of Al's Lock and Key for 42 years and he was of the Baptist belief. He served in the U.S. Air Force and loved fishing and hunting.

Al was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his loving wife, Helen Allen Tomlinson; a son, Brant (Shelly) Tomlinson of Cabot; a granddaughter, Tori Tomlinson; a grandson, Tucker Tomlinson; a sister, Becky (Don) Coggin of Bono; a niece; two nephews; and five grand nieces and nephews. Al and Helen celebrated their 50 year wedding anniversary on July 25th.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 pm Wednesday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro.

Chapel services will be 10 am Thursday at Roller-Farmers Union with Dr. Johnny Hutchison officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.

Johnathan Allen, Shawn Coggin, Ben Field, Steve Thompson, Robert Jones, Brad Carson, Derek Falls, Nathan Coggin and Tori Tomlinson will serve as active pallbearers.

Kevin Field, Sean Hammond, Junior Cliff, Jimmy Cliff, Phillip Craft, Dale Field Larry Soffray, Donnie Bradley, Leon Brown, Sr., Arlin Whitley, Allen Hester will serve as honorary pallbearers.
