He is survived by Sue (Evans) Grable, his wife of 62 years, four children including three daughters: Sheila (Jose) Ortiz of Hesperia, CA, Becky (Craig) Markward of Gig Harbor, WA, Beverly (Domingo) Barron of Seattle, WA and one son, Byron Grable of Tacoma, WA, eight grandchildren: David (Cynthia) Ortiz, Dwayne (Vanissa) Ortiz, Dianna (Mike) Woodward, Lorie Markward, Kile Markward, Alisha (David) Chou, Rachel Barron, Rebekah Barron and five great grandchildren: Austin Ortiz, Grace Lynn Ortiz, Michael Woodward, Makada Gaxiola and Issiah Barron. Faber retired from federal government service as an Aviation Quality Control Inspector where he oversaw quality inspections for construction of Presidential Air Force One and military aircraft projects. Faber was always eager to help both family and friends. His many acts of caring includes helping his community in disaster relief efforts from recent tornados.

Faber loved gospel music and was an accomplished Southern Gospel singer. He was an active member of the Geyer Springs First Baptist Church Choir. One of Faber's favorite and most requested songs was Beulah Land. Although we will miss Faber singing it here, we rejoice in knowing that he is now singing Beulah Land at the feet of Jesus.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, August 02 at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church, 12400 Interstate 30, Little Rock, AR 72210. Memorials may be made to Geyer Springs First Baptist Church.

I grew up at Friendly Lane Bapt Church. I remember both Grable families. I was in the youth dept with Becky and remember her well. I think of Mr. Grable every time I hear the song "Ship Ahoy". If I remember right, he sang while Billy made the organ come alive! Nobody sings it like he did! To his family, I am so sorry for your loss and I pray for peace and comfort for you all.
May God wrap His loving arms around you and carry you through this difficult time.
