Don Richie, 86, of Mayflower, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2014. He was born on April 6, 1928 in Tuckerman, Arkansas to the late E.M. Richie and Ethel Stoner Richie.
Don was a United States Army Veteran and served during WWII as a Combat Engineer. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Don was an avid Atlanta Braves baseball fan and rarely missed watching their games. He was more than a mister fix-it; Don took what life gave him and made it work.
Don was a Christian who had accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Patricia Lee Richie, and two brothers; Dale Richie and Van Richie.
Don is survived by two sons; Michial Richie and wife Betty of Conway, and David Richie of North Little Rock, one daughter; Deborah Richie of Mayflower, three grandchildren; Jamie Flores and husband Bryant of Mayflower, Jeremy Richie of Conway, and Justin Richie of North Little Rock, as well as nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:00AM on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with Bro. Dale Carter officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Riverwood Memorial Gardens in Maumelle, AR.

He will be missed. Uncle Don was the uncle who always brought laughter and great family stories when he was around. He and Aunt Pat and Mother and Daddy use to play Monopoly and it was a riot to watch. Don was too busy making sure Aunt Pat didn't "borrow" from the bank that he couldn't keep up with his own game and for some reason the game got powder as the night wore on. I am sorry he is not with his earthly family but I know he is happy to be reunited with his heavenly family.

Our prayers are that you find comfort and peace knowing that Don is with our lord.
I always enjoyed our family conversation's with Don and I know he loved his family dearly. We will all miss him. Tammy & Eddie Millsap
