Ella Mae

Our sister Our friend

A songbird at heart and a samaratin be,
giving and giving with a spirit so free.

Playing with children with untiring zest,
When entertaining children she's at her best.

Not only to little ones does her affection go,to many elder and afflicted her affection they know.

So helpful to others either night or day,
She must be the giver there's no other way.

Many have called on her when they are in need,
without any hesitation she'll be there in deed.

You see,she has charity and love in her heart
more than willing to help and always impart.

Whenever there is sickness family or friend
she is mostly called for and will stay til the end.

The end of life or a bout of the flu,
she seems inspired as just what to do.

Be it an infant,an elder or teen.
sickness or sadness she'll brighten the scene.

Always a smile,gentleness and care.
three's always comfort when our sis was there.

Her sight has left her that's slowed her down,
That was bad enough ,now cancer's been found.

Now,due to her illness it's her turn at last.
for caring and comfort as she gave in the past.

Can we measure up to the example she set?
We're trying to do so but, not there yet.

She has something special and we all have to say,try as we might there's only one Ella Mae.

This was composed about four years ago.
