Lawrence James Freeman, 77, of Lamar, passed away May 23, 2014. He was born November 13, 1936, in Clarksville, to the late Robert Ray Freeman and Eunice Alice Russell. He was a heavy equipment operator and a demolition expert.
Mr. Freeman is survived by his wife, Gladys Faye (Galentine) Freeman of Lamar; two sons, James Ralph Freeman of Clarksville and Jeffery Freeman and wife, Melissa, of Dover; three daughters, Angela Storment of Clarksville, Regina Havener of Lamar and Leeta Holland and husband, Carl, of Clarksville; three sisters, Linda Crouch and husband, Ed, of Hagarville, Shirley Bates of Lamar and Mary Owens of Clarksville; a grandson, Hunter Bates of the home; ten grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Freeman is preceded in death by his father, Ray Freeman; his mother and step-father, Clyde and Eunice Kraus; two brothers, Glen Freeman and Billy Freeman; two sisters, Alice Yarbrough and Naomi Freeman and a special aunt, Archie Russell.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m., Sunday, May 25, 2014, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home. Mr. Freeman's funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home, with Larry Skinner and Glenn Newton officiating. Burial will follow in Minnow Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Josh Holland, Benjamin Holland, Hunter Bates, Ronnie Holland, J.C. Martin and Bronc Sing.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Carl Holland, Willie Hughes, Thomas Pearson and Ed Crouch.

Thinking of you all
All of you are in my thoughts and prayers.I have'nt seen James in years but kept up with him through Uncle Willie. I am so glad to know that he was so loved by his family he was a special person and a cousin.
So so sorry for your loss. Your all in out thoughts and prayers.
Just want to say I am sure going to miss Uncle James. But I know he is already found all his loved one especially his momma and daddy and brothers and sisters. I know how much he loved them all. And one day I know we will see him again. Praying for all the family we love you all so much. RIP Uncle James we love you so much. P.S. Give granny & grandpa a big hug and tell them I love them and miss them so much.
