Joseph ''Pappy'' Richardson, 86, of Conway, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2014. He was born on September 6, 1927 in Hales Point, Tennessee to the late Peyton Richardson and Anna Parks Richardson. Joseph worked construction his whole life and after many years as a carpenter he retired. He loved baseball, watching westerns, and his family. ''Pappy'' especially enjoyed spending time with his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Dorthy L. Richardson, two brothers; Pate Richardson and Morris Richardson, and his grandson; Chase C. Richardson.
Joseph is survived by two daughters; Janice Richardson of Statham, Georgia and Melinda (Brian) Garrison of Albertville, Alabama, two sons; Jimmy (Tina) Richardson and Tim (Jennifer) Richardson both of Conway, as well as 7 grandkids and 4 great grandkids. He is also survived by one brother; Wade Richardson of Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Friendship Baptist Church in Conway with Bro. Ken Jordan officiating. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park. A visitation will be held on Friday May 9, 2014 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.
Pallbearers will be Sean Hanrahan, Shane Hanrahan, Rick Satterwhite, Brian Garrison, Terry Hazel, and Pete Richardson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lane Richardson, Carson Richardson, Dustin Garrison, Trevon Garrison, and Evan Vess.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the building fund/youth ministry at Friendship Baptist Church, 767 Rocky Point Rd. Conway, Arkansas 72032, (501)796-2866.
