Mr. Joe (Bob) M. Williams, 63, of Benton passed away on April 26, 2014 in Little Rock. He was born January 15, 1951 in Dover, TN to the late Joe Weaver and Mary Pauline (Bufford) Williams Thomason. He was an U. S. Army Vietnam War Veteran having been awarded the Purple Heart. He was a member of Holland Chapel Baptist Church and VFW Post 2256 and also a truck driver.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Paulette Gordon.
Survivors include his wife of twenty years, Marilyn J. (Littlejohn) Williams of Benton; daughter, Stacy Smith (Jeff) of Granite City, IL; son, Joe Dale Williams of Benton; stepsons, Mark McClain (Sara) of Benton, and Matt McClain (Jessica) of Richmond, VA; nine grandchildren, Jessica Martin, Curt Huffman, Austin Traylor, Brandon Williams, Hunter Williams, Morgan McClain, Meghan McClain, Pearl McClain, and Annabelle Arnold, one sister, Sandra Stepanek of Granite City, IL; best friend Joe Carter, his other best friends Scooter, Pepper, Max, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home with Bro. Carl Ritchey officiating. Interment will follow at New Rosemont Memorial Park in Benton. Serving as pallbearers are Charlie Stepanek, Paul Stepanek, Corby Davison, Jeff Smith, Ronnie McDade and Terry Smith.
A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, April 29, 2014 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home (315-4047) in Benton.
Family request that memorials may be made to Saline County Boys and Girls Club, 105 Cox St., Benton, AR 72015.
Marilyn, Frank and I are so very sorry for your loss and know you must be devastated. We will continue to keep you and the family in our thoughts and prayers.
