Gertrude ''Gertie'' Ann Etzkorn, 85 of Subiaco, Arkansas passed away on Monday, April 7, 2014 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born on September 5, 1928 in Subiaco to her parents Joe and Theresia (Koenigseder) Schluterman. She was a retired seamstress from Paris Manufacturing and Lady Fair Mills and after retirement worked at the Coury House in Subiaco. She was member of St. Benedict Catholic Church and Mothers Society and the Coury House Retreat League.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Theresia Schluterman; five sisters, Martha Schluterman, Marie Eckart, Ceal Sprick, Olivia Seiter and Beth Waddell; one brother, Ed Schluterman and two great-grandchildren Kaitlyn and Hope Wyatt.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years Richard Etzkorn of Subiaco; four daughters, Debby Etzkorn of Fort Smith, Nita Wyatt and husband Phillip of Clarksville, Diane Gray and husband Dennis of Altus and Vivian Fox and husband Larry of Paris; five sons, Pat Etzkorn and wife Lisa of Subiaco, John Etzkorn and wife Candy of Subiaco, Henry Etzkorn and wife Anna of Subiaco, Rick Etzkorn and wife Susan of Fort Smith and Matt Etzkorn of Subiaco; three sisters, Kathryn Reith of Fort Smith, Jo Ann Vonderheide of Fort Smith and Ginny Klein of Fort Smith; one brother, J.T. Schluterman of Fort Smith; twenty grandchildren and twenty four great-grandchildren.
Rosary service will be held at 7:30 p.m., on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at St, Benedict Catholic Church in Subiaco.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at St. Benedict Catholic Church officiated by Fr. Aaron Pirerra O.S.B.. Burial will follow in St. Benedict Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters.
