Leonard Floyd ''Hoss'' Cartwright, 71, of Bauxite passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014 in Little Rock. He was born February 1, 1943 in Dermott, AR to the late Leonard and Edna Ray (McDowell) Cartwright. Mr. Cartwright was a member of West Bauxite Missionary Baptist Church and had worked for Alcoa as a miner.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret (Hamilton) Cartwright.
Survivors include two daughters, Kelley Brown (Roger) of Little Rock and Cindy Langley (Michael) of Benton; three grandchildren, Cory Combs (Adam), Riley Neal (Garrett), and Josh Langley, four great grandchildren, Sam and Aubrey Combs and Ayden and Avery Neal, other relatives, and many friends.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander with Bro. Melvin Burris officiating.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening March 13th at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home (315-4047).
In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to West Bauxite Missionary Baptist Church, 5701 Hwy. 183, Bauxite, AR 72011.

I am so sorry to hear of your Daddy's passing. Parents are so hard to let go. Heard many a story from my Dad about their adventures out at Alcoa. I suppose that will always be in my memory. So sorry.

I am sorry to hear of his passing. I was privileged to have had him as a teacher at a young age with the Royal Rangers. This is something I will never forget.
So sorry to hear you lost your dad but so thankful to know he is back together with your mom & we will all see them again really soon!!! Praise God for his promises!!! We have so many wonderful memories of our families together at the ball park & lake!! Mr Hoss was such a sweet sweet man!!! Please know that we are all thinking about you and sending you our love & prayers!!!

Kelly and Roger, tho I never met your dad , He must have been a wonderful man to have a daughter and son in law as great as you two are.. I came to love u both during Josh passing and Marylee & Carl is always saying great things about you and her running partner . I know this will leave a big void in your lives .However we can take GREAT CONFORT in knowing he is with JESUS

We went to church with Mr. Cartwright. He was a quiet and gente man who was always very kind to us. He will be missed by our church family. Your family is in our prayers.
