Martha ''Marty'' Yancey Edmondson, 78, of Alexander, AR, passed away on March 10, 2014 at Saline Memorial Hospital. She was born on December 19, 1935 in Vilonia, AR to the late Barty and Della (Lewellen) Yancey. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Eugene Edmondson, one brother; Joe Yancey and one sister; Wilma Reed.
Martha worked in Food Service Management and was of Baptist Faith.
Survivors include two sons; Douglas Edmondson, and wife, Jo Anne of Little Rock, AR, Donald ''Pete'' Edmondson, and wife, Debbie of Scott, AR one daughter; Fonda Edmondson Webster of Marion, AR, niece; Patricia Lynn Johnson of Vilonia, AR, three grandchildren; Donald E. Edmondson, Wade Edmondson, Bethany Henderson; three great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 13, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. in the Roller-Ballard Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Shane Dickson officiating.
Interment will follow at 12:30 P.M.in Beryl Cemetery near Vilonia, AR. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2014 from 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home, 306 South Main Street, Benton, AR 72015 (501-315-4047)
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association at 909 W. 2nd St., Little Rock, AR 72201
