Did an excellent job with the Oak Grove Fire District, reducing the ISO rating from a 9/7 to a 4. This not only saved the folks in the district lots of money, but also resulted in as good a service as most cities.
Good job; you'll be missed.

I worked with Randy many years ago at LRAFB Fire Department. He was a sergeant in the Air Force at the time. Though it was many years ago, I remember his love for firefighting. He was always willing to help the new Airmen, me included. I am saddened to hear of his passing. May he rest in piece and may god bless his family.

I miss you brother, from our last conversation Friday before the accident to your text you were in the ER with a hurt back. I always thought you would pull through. I prayed hard for you knowing that you were fighting to overcome, yet the father decided it was time for you to come home.. Rest now my brother, for I will see you on the other side, then we will catch up on things!

One of our sweetest memories of Randy was the night our daughter's house burned and NP Volunteer FD was called.. It was a cold night with an icy rain and Randy was home in bed with the flu. When we got to her house the fire truck was there and sitting atop the truck manning the hose was Randy. He was always putting others first. Our love and our prayers go out to your family He was a good man and he will be missed.

You fought hard my friend, everyone was pulling for you, praying so hard that you would get up and walk out of that hospital. Instead you got another First Responder Call and you took it with courage, dedicated to give all of yourself. I am so glad I got to know you, work with you, talk and laugh with you, we had some good times! Can't believe that you are no longer here with us, but I know that you are going to be close to all of us, still protecting us, giving all your best! I'm going to stay close to your family and help them all I can. You will not be forgotten! We thank you for your dedication to your community, your fire department, to your family, and to the State of Arkansas. Rest in Peace, I will sure miss you.

I was very saddened to hear of Chief Pogues wreck and the injuries he sustained while responding to a call for help. Being a member of a volunteer Fire Dept and being raised with a dad that is a Retired LRFD Captain the loss is greater than most can imagine. It's a loss not only to his family, Oak Grove Vol FD and all the fire service in Arkansas. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. Chief Pogue, You answered your last call with honor and not without sacrifice.
RIP Chief Randy Pouge.
