Bennie Lee Garrett, 60 of Lakeland, Florida, formerly of Damascus, Arkansas died Monday, February 10, 2014. He was born May 17, 1953 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Ben Franklin and Connie Loftis Garrett. He was a 1971 graduate of South Side High School in Bee Branch and was a member of the Church of Christ. He enjoyed playing guitar, fishing, and music. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ricky William Garrett.
Survivors include two sons: Bennie Elijah Garrett (Alison), Jesse Lee Garrett both of Conway; two granddaughters: Amelia Page and Brooklyn both of Conway; two sisters: Brenda Linn of Conway, Sandra Edwards of Bee Branch; companion: Laureen Johnson of Lakeland, Florida; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other family.
Graveside service will be 2:00 PM Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Quattlebaum Cemetery, Bee Branch. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials made to Renewal Ranch "Restoring Broken Lives through Christ", P.O. Box 11128, Conway, AR 72034.

My prayers go out to Sandra, Brenda and the rest of Bennie's family. It was such a beautiful service for Bennie. You guys did a really good job of the service. Think of the good memories you all have of Bennie. I did not realize how much Chip looked like him in his younger day until I saw the picture at the services. Just know that I am thinking of you all. I'm so sorry for your loss! I have lost so many members of my family. Losing loved ones is overwhelmingly painful. One thing that brings me some comfort is what the Bible says at Isaiah 25:8 "He will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces."
