Raymond L. Champagne, 68, of Benton died Sunday, January 19, 2014. He was born November 27, 1945 in Thief River Falls, MN to the late Frank and Selma Champagne and was a machine operator. Raymond enjoyed bowling and participated in several leagues. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two siblings; his brother Leroy Champagne of Benton and his sister Sylvia Murphy of NewBern, NC.
Survivors include a brother, Frank Champagne and wife Hazel of Benton and a sister, LeNora Stevenson also of Benton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 23rd, 2014 at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander with Pastor Randy Roach of Calvary Assembly officiating.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening, January 22nd at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home (501-315-4047).

I'm so sorry for your loss! It's times like these we need comfort. God's word can soothe our hearts and minds. The Bible says at Isaiah 25:8 "He will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces." We look to God through Jesus and his Kingdom to do this. My wife and I hope you find comfort as you endure your loss.
