Sorry to hear your loss
ur family is in our prayers
There are but few men I've ever known in my life time who are considered truly worth to be called a man among men, Coach Chenault is one of those few. He was a man of great faith and his integrity was unmatched. I count it a privilege to have had a man such as he to call me friend. My heart is saddened at his passing but, I know we will meet again. May God be with the family as the healing continues.
Praise be to God for the wonderful life of Corky. Such a wonderful family with a clear perspective. It's a tough time, and I hate that for all of you. But I can testify to the truth in Philippians 4:6-7. I pray for that peace on all of you in the days and months ahead. So sorry I could not make it down, but you must be proud of the support shown.

So saddened to read of Corky's death. Beginning with days at Eastside Jr. High, he was always a favorite of mine. Much sympathy to all the family!
As I've read through the Guestbook, I'm overwhelmed by the affirmation of the man we all knew and loved. All I can say is Amen and Amen! I believe that if Corky could speak to us now, He would say"I've just gone on ahead of you and I'll walk these streets of heaven looking for you someday". I can see him tilting his head forward, raising his eyebrows, clinching his mouth and saying emphaticially, "Be There"!

My heart is so saddened by the loss of a man that I always thought of was bigger than life itself. I truely loved Mr. Chenault and thought you both were just the Best! I missed the visitation last night but did drive by and the line was endless! I know you were proud that the whole town came out to pay their repects and I know Corky was smiling down on everyone. If you ever need to talk I'm a good listener. Love you much!

I was on the football team of his first coaching assignment, which was the 1966 Fuller Junior High School Panthers. He was the head coach, and since i moved on to high school the next year, 1966 was the only year that i was under his direction. i am honored that he remembered me by name, as told to me by Mark Riley, a schoolmate, who informed me of Coach Chenault's passing.
I was glad to see that Coach had a long and successful career in the education systems, as demonstrated by many comments that i have reviewed in the guest book entries. i know that he had positive influence over many young lives, including mine; so much so, i also have a daughter named and spelled Karla, and i did not even know that Coach had a daughter of the same name and spelling!
May God bless and keep you, the family, until you meet with your beloved Coach again.
Karla,
I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
Love,
Vicki

Linda Jo,
I am saddened by the loss of my good friend and college roommate. You and Corky shared some of the best times at ASTC with me and Gay, so when we remember those years, we always think of you two with us and all the ice cream cones we enjoyed together! Corky touched so many lives in a positive way that his legacy will live on not only through your children but also through all those young people who felt his influence. God bless you and your family and give you all the comfort and peace that only comes from Him.
Many prayers for your family. So sorry for your loss.

I didn't have the privilege of knowing Mr. Chenault, but I know that he was a "good" man. I know that because it seems that words like character and integrity are synonymous with the name Corky Chenault. I do have the honor of working with Karla, his daughter, and she is a beautiful person.
I am sorry for your loss and you are all in my prayers.
Mr. Chenault was a wonderful man. He will be greatly missed. Many prayers for his family.
It's been 30 yrs since our family moved away to IN from our Benton family and our next door neighbor's - The Chenault family. I couldn't have asked for a better childhood than the one I received in Benton. The Chenault's are etched into every memory from Highland Heights Church to Boys/Girls Club to Angie Grant Elementary to days of kick the can in the side yard our families shared. My heroes growing up were the men who played with Corky and my dad on the church softball team. These men were Giants in the Faith and had a major impact on my life and many others. I miss those days dearly, but am blessed to hold those wonderful memories close to my heart.
Our prayers and thoughts go to Linda Jo, Karen, Karla, Greg and their families. It's a blessing to know that Corky is looking down on his Benton family from Heaven pain free and smiling once again.
I am shocked and saddened to read Corky's obituary. I was five years old when my family moved next door to the Chenaults and as a little girl, I had a crush on my teen neighbor! He was a good teen who became an outstanding, respected man. I'm so very sorry for your loss. May the lord be with you.
I'm so sorry to hear about Mr Chenault. My heart is broken for the family. I know the struggles you went through. No more treatment now. Just resting in the arms of Jesus. I will keep you in my prayers.
We have loved Corky for a long time, I was in his senior class and Bryant and knew then that he would become a great man one day. He was superintendent when our boys went to high school in Benton. Our prayers go out to Linda Jo and the rest of the family,
What a great man! I know he will be missed!
Linda Jo, words can't express the sorrow you are feeling at this time. You are not alone; our thoughts and our prayers are with you. We are called at this point to remember what we have been taught from the Word: "Lean upon the Lord and not to our own understanding."
Corky will leave a big void and shoes to fill. He was such a wonderful example and lived the Words he taught not only in church but outside the walls as well. May God grant you peace and comfort in the days ahead.
At the last class reunion, Paul & I had a chance to spend a little time with him and will forever cherish those moments. God Bless!
Paul & Darlene Graves
Linda Jo our prayers are with you in the death of Corky. I remember so well the fun times we had at the several class reunions we attended where you and he were there and I treasure those times. The times together were so brief but Corky was one of those rare individuals who could make you feel on first meeting as though you had known him forever! I know he will be sorely missed by all who know him and especially by yourself and your family. Our prayers are for God to give comfort as only He can. In Christ’s love. Nelson and Carolyn Temple
A super person! Condolences to all the family.
That picture is so great...always greeted folks with a beautiful smile. Corky will be remembered by his sincerity and genuine love for children and his hard work for the Benton Schools.
Prayers for your family.
His family will be in my prayers. He will be missed.
We are sorry for your loss! Our thoughts and prayers for you all as you adjust to the changes in your life.
Linda Jo, I am so sad to hear of Corky's passing. We had so much fun playing ball for Highland Heights Baptist Church. He had such a great sense of humor. Everyone loved him.
As my neighbour he was really nice as my principle he was the best, his door was open and he was there for us. He put up with me and my antics saved my rear and helped shape so many lives. He was a family man raising three very intelligent kids not to mention all the ones at school, and the boys club, he will be missed by all whose life's path was crossed by this bigger than life man. My prayers are with all on his passing.
I am so sad. Corky was too young! He was a great friend to me and my family. I will always be thankful that I had the opportunity of working with him and that he helped me so much as I followed him as Superintendent at Benton. We had a lot of fun, too. Although I didn't see him often these past few years, I always knew he was there and we could pick up our conversation as if we had just left the room and returned. My condolences to Linda Jo and the rest of the family. He was so proud of all of you. May God be with you all as you grieve!
Diana Julian
Prayers to all of you. I can only say that in time the tears and pain will be replaced with laughter and memories that death cannot Erase. I pray that God gives you comfort. Love Lucy

Julia and I always loved and admired Corky from our earliest school days. Both at Bauxite and Bryant, then in later years I worked with him often as he served as Super in Benton. A true friend and a very good man. We miss him and offer prayer and condolence for the family.

Corky was one of the finest men I've ever known. Since calling him "Coach" in High School, to attending church with him, to "working" with him as he volunteered at SMH, he remained one of the friendliest, kindest, and considerate men ever. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I know you will miss him so, but you can rest assured he touched so many people on this earth. My deepest condolences to all.
Our prayers to his family. I knew Corky for many years and thought he was an outstanding man and a real blessing to the Benton School District. He had many friends and was always a good man to talk to. GOD be with his family and thank you LORD for putting him in our community to serve as he did.
I am very sorry for your loss.
My heart goes out to you all. Corky will always be remembered as a great son, husband, father and grandfather. I know our family was blessed to live next to you guys. My prayers for your hearts that God will comfort you all.

Corky, was an admired man of Integrity and a heart for kids. A good soul. He has meant so much to the community and to our family. He will be missed by many . Heaven just got a Lil brighter. Peace and comfort to the family.
I am so sorry for your loss. Coach Chenault was a great man who I truly admired. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time. He was one in a million and will be missed dearly. My heart goes out to you.
I am so sorry for your loss. At Luke 20:38 God says: He is a God, not of the dead but of the living, for they are all living to him. Yes to God, his loyal ones, who have died faithful to him, are as good as alive, their resurrection is a certainty. So yes, you may see Mr. Frank again, doing what he loved and you enjoying him again. Please find some comfort and strength from these few words of truth, you and your family in your difficult days ahead.
I am so sorry to hear of Corky's passing. You will all be in my prayers.
He was a hero in my life and will be remembered for all the good things he taught, supported and loved. The last time I saw his face. We danced. A memory to keep for life.

You already know what a wonderful man he was and you will recall a lifetime of beautiful memories. Our Lord will be very near you all the way. My loving sympathy to each of you.
During this time of grief many ask themselves does death end it all? Isaiah 26:19 gives us a hope to see our future loved ones.
