Grace Ann O'Bra Thompson, 95, of Conway, passed away Thursday January 16, 2014. She was born November 30, 1918 in Chicago, IL to the late Louis and Rose O'Bra. Grace was also preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Lewis M. Thompson and brother Edwin O' Bra.
Grace was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Women's Golf Association at the Conway Country Club and a member of the 20th Century Club. She was an avid golfer and Women's Club Champion for several years. Grace loved golf, tennis, camping, the outdoors and was a very creative artist and enjoyed working with oil miniatures.
She is survived by her children, Lynn Riggins (Fayburn) of Conway, AR and Leslie Manning (Mike) of Chillicothe, MO, grandchildren, Carrie Jones (Mark), Rusty Riggins (Karen), Matthew Manning (Susan), David Manning (Amy) and Stephanie Teague (Dustin), great-grandchildren, Julianne Jones, Chloe Riggins, Cruze Riggins, and Levi Manning.
A memorial service will held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 18th at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway (501-327-7727), with Rev. Mike Manning officiating. A special thanks to Dr. Lander Smith and the staffs of St. Andrews Place, and Southridge Village for their care and kindness during her illness
