Dorothy Masoner, 85, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2013. She was born March 10, 1928 in Souix Falls, SD to the late Henry and Minnie Dreesman Buus. Mrs. Masoner had been a waitress and was a member of Benton 1st Assembly of God Church.
Besides her parents she was also preceded in death by two sons, Johnny and Robert Thatcher; one great grandchild, Jayden Taylor, and one sister, Delores.
She is survived by her five daughters, Betty Sebes (Melvin) of Leadville, CO, Dorothy See (Timothy) of Lonsdale, AR, Diana Schroeder (Roy) of Shelton, WA, Rose Maples of Benton, AR, and Shawna Hampel (Carl) of Benton; one brother, Donald Buus of Souix Falls, SD, 12 grandchildren, Michelle, Mark, Quintan, J.R., Engelina, David, Elijah, Misty, Joey, Brandon, Tiffany, and DeeAnna, 23 great grandchildren, and former husband & friend, Lloyd Masoner.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 3, 2014 in the chapel of Roller-Ballard Funeral Home (315-4047) with Gene Huskey officiating. Interment will follow in New Rosemont Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Carl Hampel, Brandon Hampel, Joey Taylor, David Maples, Elijah Maples, and Tim See.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening January 2nd at the funeral home.
