Benjamin L. Reams, 81, of Conway, passed away Friday December 27, 2013. He was born August 13, 1932 in Blytheville, AR to the late Ferd C. and Mary Alice (Turner) Reams.
Ben was a member of the Conway United Pentecostal Church for 35 years. He was employed for various farming communities and later was employed for over 10 years at Fab-Ron Inc. in sales and service. After retiring from Fab-Ron, Ben was employed at Molex for six years. He obtained his GED at the age of 70. Ben enjoyed fishing, gardening, and most of all attending church services. He taught Sunday school and was always giving the children candy. Ben was always willing to volunteer and help out with
any church project. Ben loved his family very much and was always there to help them.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Murtle (Virginia) Reams, sons, L. Gerald Reams, Johnny L. Reams (Rose), Ronald D. Reams and Randall Reams (Donna), daughter, Frances L. Holland, sister, Zola Watson of Blytheville, AR, 12 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, of Conway.
Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 30th at Conway United Pentecostal Church, with Bro. Larry Pearce, Bro. Tim Reynolds, and Bro. Tony Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers are Johnny Reams, Jr., Justin Reams, Joseph Reams, Benji Reams, Ryan Reams, and Jeffrey Pearce. Honorary pallbearers are Darius Jackson and Brian Dale Reams. Visitation is from 6:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway (501) 327-7727.
