Nancy J. Hester

of Bartlett, TN

July 15, 1945 - November 24, 2013

Nancy Jo Hester of Bartlett, TN went home to be with her Savior on November 24, 2013. Nancy was born on July 15, 1945 in Covington, KY. She lived most of her life in North Little Rock, AR. She was the daughter of Hobart and Nancy Loyd.

Nancy was a wonderful mother to daughters Jennifer Cockroft and her husband Scott of Bartlett, TN, and Jamie Moncrief and her husband Michael of Romance, AR. She was "Grandma" to seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

After graduating from Holmes High School, Nancy went on to take business courses and worked as a Legal Secretary for many years. She then changed careers and worked as a Freight Forwarder for an export company. She retired and spent her time volunteering for her church and the schools her grandchildren attended.

One of the things that Nancy was known for was her joyous spirit. She had a wonderful sense of humor and could always make people laugh. She loved to read, garden, and travel.

Nancy was predeceased by her mother; father; sister, Carolyn Landrum; and brother, Bob Cogswell. She is survived by her sister, Beverly Shoemaker; children; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday, December 2 from 11:30-1:00 with the funeral service at 1:00 at Conway Roller-McNutt Funeral Home. She will be buried at Cypress Valley Cemetery.

Jennifer and Jamie,
I'm so sorry that I won't be able to make it to the visitation and funeral. For some reason, I thought it was going to be Weds. My prayers are with you and your families. I remember coming to your house, and your mom made a dish of celery stuffed with Cream cheese. I've been hooked ever since! I remember your mother's sweet smile and contagious laugh. Prayers for your families, and comfort in knowing that Nancy is with Jesus!

Love you guys!
Gina

The heavens received a special angel today when Nancy arrived at the gates. I am sure that Robert Ward met her with a big hug and kiss. Nancy was such a blessing to myself and to all our friends. We lost touch over the last few years but her smile and love continued to be part of my life. May your journey now be a peaceful one. Much love and prayers to the family and friends.
