To the family of Catherine Gillespie,
I do not know any of you, but being from Etowah and growing up, my family shopped in Osceola for groceries, farm equipment, etc. I remember Mother shopped at City Market when Catherine worked there. She was always busy, pleaasant, very friendly and had lots of energy. My husband, Donnie, has often spoken of Clifford Gillespie. In later years, I remember Catherine helping in the kitchen @ First Baptist Church in Osceola when I would attend a funeral and a meal afterwards. When I think of gifts, Catherine, must have been blessed with the gift of service. I know it will not be easy for any of you to adjust to life with out Catherine in your everyday life, but because I have lost both of my parents, I know you will adjust. I would encourage you to remember the good memories and things she taught and shared with you. If you are a believer, then Jesus offers you hope to meet her again in Heaven.
I will miss you and love you always!
I met Mr & Mrs Gillespie when Mrs. Gillespie was a resident of Heritage Square in Blytheville where my mother was living. Their love for each other was so sweet. I know Mrs. Gillespie will be missed, but all our lives are better for having met her. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. God bless you all.
