Philip L. Adcock, Sr., 71, of Osceola, AR died Friday, August 30, 2013 in Osceola, AR. He was born on June 4, 1942 to the late Raymond and Lou Ann Adcock in Portageville, MO. He was retired from American Greetings, an Army Veteran and of the Baptist Faith. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Nancy Hopper Adcock; one son, Philip Adcock, Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Osceola; two grandchildren, Dustin and Cristin Adcock; one sister, Rita Ann Adcock of Ocala, FL and one brother, Ray Adcock of Batesville, AR.

Ray,
I am so sorry to learn of the loss of your brother. My, the two of you look so much alike. Donnie told me that Voy had notified him about Phil on our email. I don't recall knowing Phil as I was only a student in OHS for my senior year. I'm sure he was every bit as nice a fella as you are. I just wanted you to know we are thinking about you. Donnie has lost one brother and I know how we miss him. I pray God lifts your heart and gives you the assurance that your brother is in heaven and awaits you there.

Phil was one of the guys in high school that I looked up to and wanted to be like. Besides being one heck of an athlete, he was the same as a guy. Being several classes below did not make any difference because I had older sisters that went to school with him. Those of us that were younger and looked up to him will miss him. Respectfully,

My brother Phil is very Special to me. He is loved very much by all his family and friends. He will be missed so much by all that knew him. I wanted to be there in Osceola with my family at this time but because of the distance I was not able to be there in person. My heart, thoughts and prayers are there with everyone.
