jim , Sheila and family,
bobby and I are so sorry for your loss. It is so hard to lose a loved one, but especially your mom. It leaves a hole in your heart you cannot ever fill. You are in our thoughts and prayers. May God in his love help you with the grief. Bobby still talks about working at the dairy queen your parents owned.

I was very upset to hear about Ann's passing. She was thoughtful and loving enough to have sent me a graduation card back in May that I was unable to respond to until recently. Unfortunately, I learned of her passing before I could mail it out to her.
Her card was very sweet, and her message as touching from the visible labor she put into it as from the words she wrote. I'm very sorry to not have sent my response to her before, but I would like to leave it here for her.

"Dear Ann,
Thank you for your beautiful card, thoughtful words, and kind gift. The effort and love I could feel from your message touched me more than any monetary gift ever could. I'm so happy to have met you, Mrs. Peck. It was incredible to talk to you that summer day, and hear so much about you and your friendship with my Mom. I am so humbled and thankful for my accomplishments in school and in life. They couldn't have happened without the hand of God, and prayers from faithful family and friends like yourself. Your kindness will remain with me for all of my days.
With love and deep gratitude,
Andy Brooks."

Thank you Ann for your love and your kindness. That Summer day I went door to door inviting people to church, and Ann invited me in to talk. We probably spent an hour or more talking about the things of God and our families and lives. It was a very special moment to me that really humbled me and made me appreciate my service to God.
Until we meet again

Jim, I am so sorry about your mother. I know that you loved her very much and you will really miss her. I am so thankful for all that your Mom did for me over the years and the opportunities that she provided for me. She was one great woman! I will sure miss the phone call this year on her birthday. She was like a 2nd mother to me for so many years and I loved her.
