David Ross Bullock, 71 of Paris, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2013 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Dave was born on July 2, 1942 in Paris, Arkansas to his parents John Ceburn Bullock and Etter Ethel (Simmons) Bullock. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.

Dave was retired Sergeant 1st Class for the United States Army and served his country in the Vietnam War. After his retirement he worked for the Civil Service as and Alcohol and Drug Control Officer. In his later years, he was the owner of Calico Cache Bait Shop in Paris, Cove Lake Concession in Paris and Midway Market in Midway. When he fully retired he moved to Costa Rica for about three years and then moved to Nicaragua where he met his lovely wife Nilda. Dave always loved to go fishing or hunting.

Dave is preceded in death by his parents, John Ceburn and Etter Ethel (Simmons) Bullock; two brothers, John Carl Bullock and Hayden Bullock and one sister Mildred (Bullock) Estep.

Dave is survived by his wife of 13 years, Nilda Bullock of the home; four sons, John Bullock and wife Brenda of Florida, Bill Bullock of Washington, Daniel Bullock of Vilonia, Arkansas and Jason Bullock of Georgia; one stepdaughter, Arielka Martinez Avellan of Nicaragua; one stepson Jeison Garcia Avellan of Nicaragua; three brothers, Robert Bullock of Paris, Bill Bullock of New Blaine and Howard Bullock of Paris; four sister, Audrey Johnson of Paris, Deila Bates of Texas, Wanda Stevens of California and Elsi Craft of Texas; one aunt, Effie (Bullock) Walker; four granddaughters, Shae Barnett, Jaclyn Bullock, Annie Julie Bullock, Anneliese Bullock; one grandson, Sean Bullock; two great-grandchildren and twenty four nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, August 9, 2013 at First Assembly of God Church in Paris with burial in Cook Cemetery on top of Calico Mountain under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be John Bullock, Daniel Bullock, Jason Bullock, Howard Bullock, Kelley Hicks, and Sean Bullock.

Honorary pallbearer will be Butch Slusher, Cotton Bates, James Johnson, Mike Johnson, Clayton Bullock, Robert Bullock and Bill Bullock.

So sorry to hear about Dave's passing. He amused us in Fairbanks, Alaska for quite a few years. He was witty and fun-loving. Many times we have wondered how he was doing, especially after he moved to Costa Rica. Sounds like life treated him well in the years he'd been away from Fairbanks. David was such a wonderful, colorful, sweet and crazy guy. As a young girl I was in love with my Uncle's, both David and Bill. He was a great guy and I am looking forward to seeing him again in heaven.
