Rosa Margaret Flanagan, 88, of Luxora entered into rest Wednesday, June 11, 2013 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Born December 24, 1924 in Lyles, Tennessee, to the late Timothy Smith Thomas and Annie May Lyell, she was a Homemaker and a member of Osceola Church of Christ where she taught Sunday School. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Jack Flanagan of Luxora, Arkansas; one son Thomas L. Flanagan of Hardy, Arkansas; three grandchildren: Theresa Connolly of Chicago Illinois, Rebecca McCarn (Harold) of Shannon Hills, Arkansas and Robbin Martin (Philip) of Royal, Arkansas; seven great-grandchildren: Michael Connolly, Jimmy Connolly, Lisa Connolly, Robert Allen McCarn II, Hannah Martin, Grace Martin and Chloe Martin; one sister: Peggy Marie Turner of St. Petersburg, Florida. She was preceded in death by her Parents, four brothers: Lyell Thomas, Douglas Thomas, Lloyd Thomas and Gilbert Thomas; one sister; Bessie M. Jones.

My Aunt Margaret always welcomed our family into her home when we came to visit. Some of my best memories were eating watermelon on her front porch in the summer. My Dad always had a lot of love for his sisters.
Jack,Tommy and Girls,So sorry to hear of Margaret's passing.I have a lot of great memories growing up in Luxora.Margaret was a sweet lady and always had a smile on her face.My brother and I both have a painting hanging on our wall that Margaret did of dad's old place behind the levee in Luxora.Thinking of all of you and God bless.

Has lived a long enjoyable life, In the years we have known her. She has been a Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Great-grandmother.
Margret Flanagan has been a great cook, and babysitter to all of us. She has been very talented. She learned to play the piano, she learn to paint beautiful pictures, Of flowers, Items of her childhood memories. She was a seamstress for many different occasions. Margaret has sown many skirts and Bootniers,for her and Jack Flanagan her beloved-ed husband.
I am her oldest granddaughter, Theresa Lynn.(1960) as I look at her life' she has shared a great treasure that no one can take away, Stories of her child-hood, Some of her old painting are a remembrance of those years of her life. She was always so cheerful and happy to see us all when we knocked on her door. The closest ones will miss her the most. " 2013" Theresa Lynn.
