Rachel V. Thornberry Weems, age 91, of Benton, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2013. She was born in Marianna, AR on April 22, 1922 to the late Joe and Ida Thornberry. She was a member of Benton Foursquare Church and retired as a nurse aid.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Weems and one brother, JT Thornberry.

Survivors include her son Gary Weems and wife Karen of Benton; six grandchildren, Brian Weems and wife Amanda, Andrew Weems and wife Susan, Brandie Tarron and husband Shawn, Jessica Lunsford and fiancé Matt McDonald, Amber Sanders and husband Billy, and Brittany Moorman and husband Drew; three sisters, Barbara Nell Mitchell and husband Ralph of Benton, Vera Thompson and husband James of Donaldson, Arkansas, and Jo Ann Johnson and husband Jerry of Benton; four brothers, Bobby Joe Thornberry and wife Debbie, Clyde Neal Thornberry and wife Nancy, Cleo Thornberry and wife Velma Ruth, and Jessie Thornberry and wife Lois, all of Benton; many nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton (501-315-4047) with Bro. Jason Keisler officiating. Interment will follow at New Rosemont Memorial Park in Benton.

Visitation will be from 6:00 8:00 P.M. Friday, May 10, 2013 at the funeral home.
