Juanita Joyce (Berry) Halbert, age 86, of Paris, Arkansas died Saturday May 4, 2013 at her home. She was born March 8, 1927 in New Blaine, Ark to the late Abb Berry and Ethel Horn Berry. She was a longtime resident of Redondo Beach, California before moving back to Arkansas in 1996. She worked for many years with her ex-husband (Tex Swanson) in California as business owners of a sheet metal shop called Formco. Her Bible sat next to her chair and every morning she would read from it. She knew the Lord as her personal Savior.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Carla Thielen and Janet Rita Boatman; three sisters, Ann McMinn, Sue Faulkinbury and Gladys Garriott; one brother, Thomas Berry.
She is survived by her husband of 30 yrs Kenneth Halbert of Paris; one daughter Linda Kalesh Feyen (Joe) of Paris; two sons, Tommy Boatman of Torrance, Ca. and Jimmy (Dawnette) Boatman of Tehachapi, Ca.; one sister, Billie Jo Ferguson of Pottsville and one brother, Glendall (Bullet) Berry of Paris; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The viewing will be at Roller Funeral Home of Paris on Tuesday, May 7 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The Rev. Sandra Wiggins will officiate the service at Roller Funeral Home of Paris on Wednesday, May 8 at 11:00 a.m., burial will follow immediately at Horn Cemetery in Midway under the direction of Roller Funeral Home. Online guestbook www.rollerfuneralhomes.com
Pallbearers will be her caregivers Gina Price, Janice Rector, Debbie Phillips, Brenda Helton, Kim Samples and Eppie Gattis.
Hononary pallbearers will be Angela Gonzales, Rachel Moore and Ricky Kalesh.
Linda & family: We are so sorry to hear about your losing Juanita. I visited with her a few times down at Valley View.
She seemed so jolly & pleasant. She & Bullet favored a lot to me. I can see both Uncle Abb & Aunt Ethel in her. I
enjoyed the times I got to visit with her. Remembering you
& the rest of the family in prayer. I know this will be extremely hard on Ken. He sure is crazy about her.
