Betty Maxine Elder Barger, age 63, of Benton went to be with the Lord Saturday, February 9, 2013. She was born December 2, 1949 in DeWitt, AR to the late Scott Howard Elder and Marie Maxine Elder. She was a member of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church. Before becoming a homemaker, she was employed at the Saline Courier, Food and Fuel Gas Station, and Benton Veneer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved canine companion, Shaq Barger.
Survivors include her loving husband of forty-five years, Tommy Joe Barger; her daughter, Genean Marie Barger Riddick; her son, Tony Joe Barger; two grandsons, Austin Trey Riddick and Westin Seth Riddick; five sisters, Linda Ann Edler Perkins and husband Willie, Margaret Elaine Elder Buffington and husband James, Carolyn Elder Robson, Marie Darlene Elder Freeman, Geraldean Elder Krippendorf and husband Wayne; three brothers, Scott Howard Elder Jr., Floyd Ray Elder and wife Jennie, Gerald Wayne Elder and wife Cheirl, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton (501-315-4047) with Bro. Cecil Hyde officiating. Interment will follow at 12:00 P.M. Thursday at Arkansas State Veteran's Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Lonnie Barger, Cody Rossell, Pete Roberts, and Lonnie Barger Jr.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at the funeral home.

I remember all the "Elder" girls from Couch St. and from school..I am very sorry for your loss..I remember her smile and the mischief we seem to get into when we were kids..
