June 26, 1944 - January 20, 2013
If Bobby Woodard never poked fun at you, then you never met Bobby Woodard. His legacy will be that he never met a stranger and more than likely the stranger became a friend. He loved many and was loved by many. His family, friends and hard work were his life. They broke the mold when they made Bobby.
Now, his many friends and family will mourn his passing at the age of 68 in his hometown of Clinton. Like his many friends, he also had many accomplishments. After attending Conway High School, he went to work with his dad building roads where he would learn many of the skills that would serve him all his life.
He would try many career paths including building foundations, owning a donut and meat shop, running a landscaping business and eventually running and winning the election for Van Buren County Judge in 1981. During his term in office, he played a major role in helping Clinton bounce back from the devastating flood of 1982. He often helped others whether it was paving a parking lot as a favor or clearing land after a tornado. He believed in people helping people in their community.
Until 2012, he was President and operator of Woodard Oil Field Services, building gas pads for Southwestern Energy.
Bobby R. Woodard was born June 26th, 1944 the son of the late Ernest Stanley Woodard Sr. and Jewell Turner Woodard. In addition to his mother Jewell, he is survived by his son Denny R. Woodard, wife Amy and grandson Jackson and granddaughter Emily of Fayetteville, Arkansas. He leaves behind a daughter, Meredith Post, husband Bryan and two grandsons, Caden and Conner of Greenbriar, Arkansas.
He was the third oldest of 10 Woodard siblings: Patricia Remke and husband Dick of Little Rock, Stanley Woodard and wife Susan of Conway, Marilyn Childs and Bob of Green Valley, Arizona; Martha Carey of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Sandra White and husband Ricky of Conway, Phyllis Chancellor and husband James of Conway, Preston Woodard of Conway, Ricky Woodard and wife Paula of Green Valley, Arizona, and Kim Moore and husband Neal of Maumelle.
Pallbearers will be his nephews Ernie Woodard, Todd White, Nick Williams, Chad White, Brad White, Rob Childs and John Woodard.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Round Mountain Community Church, PO Box 866, Conway, AR 72033. Visitation will be held at 6pm Tuesday, January 22nd at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 23rd at 10am at Southside Baptist Church, Damascus, AR.
Family gatherings will never be the same without Bobby whose quick wit and charm always livened up the party. You will be missed Bobby. See you when we all meet again.

I just watched the video memorial and Meredith you did a wonderful job. I only recently knew he came from such a large family and it is obvious you are all a close family. He was blessed to have you and Denny and that sweet little momma and siblings. He was one of the funniest people we have had the pleasure of knowing and he has always been a good friend and neighbor. We will miss seeing him drive by in that classic car he loved so much. God Bless your family and may memories put more smiles on your faces than tears in your eyes.

They did break the mold when they made Bobby, and the world will be a much more boring place without him. One ski vacation, and two trips to the Southwest Conference Tournament leaves me with fond memories, and a smile on my face. You will be missed old friend, but never forgotten. God's speed Bobby.
