November 9, 1921 - January 12, 2013

Chloe Chandler, age 91, of Benton, died Saturday, January 12, 2013.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lester Chandler of sixty-five years and her only daughter, Martha Chandler, her parents, E.B. Reeves and Connie J. Reeves, six brothers and one sister, several nephews and one niece.

She is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Berry Bussey of South Carolina and Geneva Keim of Malvern, Arkansas. She is also survived by five nieces, nine nephews, and many dear friends at Calvary Baptist Church.

Chloe was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school classes for the 4th and 5th grade girls. She was also the co-owner of Chandlers Grocery with her husband Lester for 39 years. She was also a charter member of the Art Guild of Saline County.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church in Benton with Bro. Frank Thurman officiating. Interment will follow at New Rosemont Memorial Park in Benton. Serving as pallbearers will be the Deacons of Calvary Baptist Church.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

I am very sorry for the loss of this fine lady..I remember her and her husband from Chandler's store...We walked there all the time when we were kids and they were the kindest, nicest people in the world..I remember thinking how beautiful I thought she was when I was a kid..Always so sweet to everyone..
