Janet Lou Aldridge

of Paron, AR

December 1, 1933 - December 26, 2012

Janet Lou Aldridge, age 79, of Paron, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 26, 2012. She was born December 1, 1933 to the late Betrum and Margaret Lindsay in Rock Falls, Illinois. She was a member of New Life Baptist Church in Alexander and retired from Farm Bureau. She loved music, loved to sing, and loved sewing. In addition to playing the piano, Janet taught many Sunday school classes throughout the different churches that her and her husband, Bro. Lester Aldridge pastored. She became a ''foster'' grandmother and aunt to many who had not been shown unconditional love and was given the gift of exceptional phone ministry to those that Mrs. Janet knew out-of-state. Janet loved her family, her friends, and the Lord very deeply.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two great-grandchildren, three brothers, Bert, Marvin, and George Lindsay, and one sister, Renie Woodyatt.

Survivors include her wonderful companion of 63 years, Bro. Lester Aldridge of the home; two daughters, Chris Wayland and husband, Larry and Shirley Hitchcock and husband, Virgil, all of Bryant; three sons, Lester Daniel Aldridge and wife, Diane of Paron, Ted Aldridge and wife, Connie of Bryant, and Paul Aldridge and wife, April of North Little Rock; thirteen grandchildren, Robyn Manees, David McCombs, Kelly Mangrum, Chad Aldridge, Daniel Aldridge, Anthony Aldridge, Lindsay Margaret Aldridge, Jory Aldridge, Jace Aldridge, Josh Aldridge, Xavier Aldridge, Lexi Aldridge, and Alivia Aldridge; twelve great-grandchildren; one sister, Maxine Knapp and husband, Robert of Rock Falls; two brothers, Walter Lindsay and wife Janet and David Lindsay all of Rock Falls; numerous nieces and nephews; her best friend, Reba Hillenburg; other relatives, and many friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at New Life Baptist Church in Alexander with Bro. Sid Samples officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander. Serving as pallbearers will be Ronnie Hutchinson, Allen Manees, Paul Aldridge, David McCombs, Isaac McCombs, and Jonthan Austin.

Visitation will be from 6:00 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton (501-315-4047).

My deepest sympathy to the family. I know that this is a difficult time for you right now but the Bible offer comfort and hope now and for the future. Rev. 21;3,4 Jehovah God say that He will wipe out every tears from their eyes and death will be no more. John 11:25,26 Jesus said that he is the resurrection and the life. Pslm. 37:11 states that the meek ones will possess the earth. I hope that you can find comfort from these scriptures as I have.

Bro. Les and family, I know you will miss Ms Janet so much and so will a lot of friends. She did live the true Christian Life. I have known Bro Les and Ms Janet since I was a Little girl and I'm not telling my age, but it has been a long time and their love for each other and love for others never changes. What a beautiful and wonderful couple and Ms Janet is now singing with the angels. Amen and Amen. She just inherited the most wonderful mansion . She needed no mansion here on earth. She knew where her mansion was being prepared. I will miss you Ms. Janet.

Uncle Les and cousins: I wanted you all to know how truly sorry I am for the grief you are all bearing with the loss of Aunt Janet. I remember so clearly the last time I saw her was ar Lillian's funeral in Rock Falls. We sang together on the way out of church because the guy that was singing was sooo bad. Aunt Janet got that twinkle in her eye and just started singing out and I joined in. Then after everything was over and we were back at my Dad's and they were getting ready to head back to Arkansas your folks sang a song to me and my husband. It is a precious memory I recall often. There are so many things I could tell you about your wife and mother but you have probably heard similarstories from other folks. I will share with you that I can't help thinking of her everytime I read Proverbs 31 :10-31.The world was a better place for having her in it and she had a way about her that made me want to be a better person. We were surely blessed to have had her in our lives and I thank God daily for her and the things she taught me just by the examples she set. God bless you and keep you through these sorrowful days.

Your loving niece and cousin

We have been blessed beyond belief to have had the priviledge to call Ms. Janet our friend. She was everyone's mom and grandma. She treated everyone like they were the only one and most important. She was always more concerned for others and was always about the Lord's business. Church services will not be the same without Ms. Janet agreeing with the pastor by saying "Amen, Amen, Amen!" We are all just heartbroken but have great memories and know we will be greeted in Heaven by Jeus and Ms. Janet! Love and prayers. Allen and Ruthie Bain and Betty Gregory
