Jerry Lancaster of Conway died August 9, 2012. He was born June 19, 1932. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eula and William Lancaster; his stepfather Ben McCulloch; 2 sisters; and a brother. He is survived by his wife, Joyce; 2 daughters, Jennifer and Janet; 6 grandchildren; a brother, Ben McCulloch; and many friends. Jerry was a very special person, a faithful Christian, and an active member of First United Methodist Church. He retired from AmTran Bus Company as a Regional Sales Manager and from the Army National Guard as a Warrant Officer. He volunteered with the Conway and State AARP, Conway Senior Citizens Center, and in his earlier years was a coach with the women and girls volleyball and softball teams and was a church youth counselor. His hobbies were fishing, gardening and stained glass. Jerry was known for his wit and positive attitude. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery on Monday, August 13, 2012 at 10:00am. A memorial service will follow at 11:00am at the First United Methodist Church under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Conway, (501)327-7727. Visitation will be general. The family requests that memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church, 1610 Prince St., Conway, AR 72034 or to the Conway Senior Citizens Center, P.O. 1429, Conway, AR 72033. |
