Rue was the best! I remember his wit, his kindness, and especially his smile. I will miss him and I am better for having known him. Heavn just got brighter!!
Getting to know Rue over the last 10 or so years there is one thing for sure, he was a fighter. His refuse to lose attitude really showed in everything he done. I really enjoyed coaching with Rue because his competitive spirit never wavered. When he hollered "HA-BIT" on the field those girls always resonded!! May God wrap his loving arms around his family and give them comfort like only he can. With all our love.... God Bless

Rue and I worked together for a brief time during my employment at CHDC ..Rue was always so nice to me when I worked w him during our orientation. He was my partner in the skills and training exercises. He always made the class fun for myself and everyone else. He was a very nice man. I ended up being pregnant and was always getting sick during orientation. He used to kid me I was preg
nant and lo and behold I was. I always wanted to see him again and let him know I was and he was right. I pray God holds you all in his arms and comforts you like only he can. Rest assured Rue left behind a legacy. He will be missed!
Annavurl and family, our hearts hurt for you in the death of your dear son and loved one. I did not know he had cancer, but i know it is hard to see them suffer with the disease and still have their chances be so small to recover. We must be absent in body to be with the Lord and I pray he is with God and will never suffer again. Love you all,
Cissy and G.L.
He was full of life. I have fond memories of visiting family in Conway growing up. Way too early for him to go. God's Blessing.
Anavurl, Tracie & Family: My thoughts and prayers are with you. Rue was such a nice guy. May God's love carry you through this time of sorrow.

Sandi I cant be there tomorrow, but if I could, I would give him my rule book. He always knew what it said and I appreciated that. Most importantly he knew the rule book for heaven and he never questioned that heavenly umpire. He now has a better umpire than me or any of the guys from Greenbrier. I will miss him so so deeply.
All our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Rue was a wonderful persons he will be missed..\ all our love is sent your way

Rue Garrett Family,
We hadn't been blessed to see Rue Douglas in many years. Distance is the reason but now I think it is not reason enough. With all these lovely things being said about Rue, I wished I would've known him as a grown-up. We all just knew him from when we were kids traveling to Conway every summer. I pray that you will somehow gain the strength to do what Rue asked everyone to do at the end of his video. God bless you all and wrap His loving arms around you. We love ya'll!!
My heart and prayers go out to the Garrett and Karber family. The void will be great but God can give you peace and understanding. Remember Rue daily and the positive impact that he made on peoples lives. God bless each of you.
From the chemo girls---You guys are in our hearts and prayers. Please let us know if you need anything at all. Rue was not just a patient, but he was (and will always be) a part of our family. We love you Rue!!!

Dear Sandi and Family-What a blessing it has been to be around and work with Rue over the last several years. Rue was a special person and truly enjoyed life. Just as Rue always said it's the little things that truly mean the most. He lived his life enjoying the little things that most of us over look. It has been also a joy getting to know those kids and watching them grow up.Sandi- There is nothing we can say except we are so sorry. Dear Sandi and family: I and my family have very blessed to know you and Rue. He was my son's baseball coach during the 2nd or 3rd grade. "Nick Ferguson". Nick would always run to him at the start of practice and say, "I love you coach Rue". What a great man to be loved by a young child. Thank you all for sharing him with us.
