Betty Jean Sides
July 28, 1930 - July 8, 2012

Betty Jean Sides, 81, of Wynne, Arkansas, passed away on July 8, 2012 in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Mrs. Sides worked as a homemaker. She was a Lifetime Member of VFW Post 4566 Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, a consultant for Premier Designs Jewelry and the mother to all of Wittsburg.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William S. and Velma Humphrey, her husband, Homer Lee Sides, Sr. and a son, Kenneth Sides. She is survived by four sons, Homer Sides, Jr. of Truman, Arkansas, Billy Sides, Sr. of Lowell, Arkansas, Paul Sides of Wynne and Charles Sides, Sr. of Wynne; five daughters, Betty Lois Utley of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Peggy Bussell of Mannford, Oklahoma, Barbara Johnson of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Carolyn Lorent of Phoenix, Arizona and Carrie Watlington of Vanndale, Arkansas; two sisters, Joan Hill of Oxford, Mississippi and Charlene Humphrey of Wynne; one brother, William L. Humphrey of Morton, Mississippi; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and a host of friends and relatives.

Visitation will take place at Sharpes Chapel Church of God in Wynne on Thursday July 12, 2012 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with funeral services immediately following. Burial will take place at Bayvillage Cemetery in Bayvillage, Arkansas.
