Mr. Billy Gene Newcomb 76, of Bee Branch Arkansas went to be with the Lord Friday, June 8, 2012. He was born June 10, 1935 at Wynne, Arkansas to the late George W. and Helen M. (Blackstone) Newcomb.
Billy retired as a Boilermaker at the Phoenix Cement Plant in Arizona, he was a member of the Boilermakers Union, and also an endowment member of the NRA. He taught hunter's education locally for ten years. He was in the 3rd Spearhead Armored Division of the U.S. Army where he was honorably discharged in 1963. He loved the great outdoors which he did his hunting and fishing. He was a mentor to many and was never afraid to share his beliefs with those who would listen. Most importantly he loved Jesus and attended First Assembly of God in Clinton, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Charles Newcomb, sister, Patsey Houston, grandchild, Cherokee Newcomb, and two great-grandchildren, Samantha and Kimberly Walley.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Newcomb of Bee Branch, AR; two sons, Billy Gene and Christina Newcomb, Jr. of Bee Branch, AR; and Bennie Thomas Newcomb of Bee Branch, AR; three daughters, Jeanie Marie and Bryan Duncan of Choctaw, AR; Angela Rose Clark of Conway, AR; and Tammy Lee Darlene and Thomas Davis of Drasco, AR; nineteen grandchildren, Chasity Newcomb, Cynthia Walley, Jacob Murphy, Misty Rose, Skylar and Billie Jean Newcomb, Candice and Mike Newcomb, Michelle Culbertson, Zach Newcomb, April, Jennifer, and Barbara Rosas, Dawn Wiles, Lynette Durran, and Jesse and Russell Davis, two great-grandchildren, Kaylee Walley and Tristen Walley, four step grandchildren, Allen and Joseph Johnson, Cory and Shawnda Johnson, two sisters, Mary Jane Richmond of Cottonwood, AZ; and Eva Manley of Alba, New Mexico; and many close friends and relatives.
Pallbearers: Billy Newcomb, Jr., Bennie Newcomb, Zach Newcomb, Jacob Murphy, Daniel McElroy, Thomas Davis, Bryan Duncan, Doug Pearson, and Michael Newcomb.
Honorary Pallbearers: Bud Padgett, Edwin Alexander, Edward Pearson, Billy Houston, Michael Houston, Cory Johnson, Chad McLaughlin, Robert Rainley, Cledus Price, and Chris Peters.
Visitation will be 5:00-8:00pm Monday, June 11, 2012 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel Clinton, Arkansas.
Funeral Service will be 2:00pm Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Clinton First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Michael Powers officiating. Burial will follow with U. S, Army Military Honors at Bee Branch Cemetery.

We're sorry we couldn't make it to the funeral. Uncle Bill was my favorite uncle. He was a really good man.
Im so very sad that we lost a good man, But Im so very glad to have had him in our life, He was a very good man, He loved to hunt,& fish, and he loved our GOD, So I no Uncle Bill is at peace, He is with my Moma, (Patsy Houston his sister) and others, So dont be sad for him, Rejoice and be glad for him, Rest in Peace Uncle Bill, Gone but not forgotten.... Hello everyone I'm sorry me and my family couldn't make it today. I just want to say goodbye to my grandpa and let him know he will be missed. I also want him to know i love him dearly. Today is the day you get your wings may you fly and sorrow the heavens watching over all of us as we try to carry on. May you rest in peace Grandpa.
For those of you who don't know who I am my name is Jennifer Reyes and I am Billy Gene Newcomb's grand daughter.
My Grandpa was a good man. He was always there for you in his own settle way.
We have alot of great memories with grandpa. And even through the pain of losing him hurts more than I could possibly put into words.
I think that grandpa would want us to take all those happy and loving memories with us ALWAYS!
And share those memories with our children and our children's, children. That is how grandpa will live on, is though us and our children.
We can share with them our memories of the greatest man I have ever known.
I love you all and even though I am not there with you, does not mean I am not there with you in your hearts!!! I love you Grandpa and will miss you always may you rest in peace.
