Mr. Vindell J. Yarbrough

Vindell “V.J.” Yarbrough, 89, went to be with the Lord on June 4, 2012. V.J. was born December 17, 1922 in Crosby, Arkansas to Flossie and Charlie Yarbrough and spent his childhood working at the family farm just outside of Searcy. V.J. was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle.
V.J. loved his children and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Billie; parents Flossie and Charlie Yarbrough; and one brother, Tuffy Yarbrough. V.J. is survived by his children Gary Yarbrough and his wife Carnell of Searcy, Kay Yarbrough-Fry and her husband Ron of Hudson, FL. His grandchildren, Danelle Hoffer of Cabot, Marc Bridger of Spring Hill, FL, Greg Yarbrough of Little Rock, Scott Bridger of Dallas, TX and Kevin Yarbrough of Little Rock. Great Grandchildren: Riley, Lindsey, Elijah, Isaiah, Ethan, Anna, Moriah and Vindell Ray. V.J. also leaves behind his loving brothers and sisters: Phil, Charles, Mildred, Oleta and Lavern.
V.J. was a wonderful storyteller and blessed us all with his ability to share memories from his life. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Searcy and loved to listen to music and read the Bible. He will forever be missed.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening, June 6, 2012, 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Roller Daniel Funeral Home in Searcy. Graveside services will be Thursday, June 7, 2012 at 10:00am, Gum Springs Cemetery in Searcy.
