Wilmot Newton (Bill) Hewitt, Jr.
January 18, 1925 - May 28, 2012

Wilmot (Bill) Newton Hewitt, Jr., a son given by the Lord to Wilmot and Dovie Hewitt, was born at Wann, Oklahoma on January 18, 1925, and died at the Clarksville Health and Rehab Center on May 28, 2012. Today we rejoice in the knowledge that he passed the barrier of time as we know it and is forever at home with the Savior he faithfully served for over 45 years.

Bill served in the Navy during World War II, was a self-taught Federally- Licensed Electrician, and retired from Peabody Coal Company in 1978. His favorite passtime was to get his fishing line wet, whether caught any fish or not; but he prided himself on always being the first one to catch a fish. He loved the Lord, his family and friends, in that order.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Mary (Campbell)Hewitt of Clarksville, Arkansas; one son, Bill Hewitt; four daughters, Virginia Kime, Jeanie Hewitt, and Charlotte and husband, Bill Dausses all of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; Theresa and husband, Larry Johnson of Clarksville, Arkansas; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Merle, Harold, Lloyd and Cecil; two sisters, Geraldine Glenn and Alta Vidrickson.
