Violet Lucille Smith, age 87, of Sherwood, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, May 25, 2012. She was born on July 19, 1924 in Vilonia, Arkansas to Rufus and Vester Nealey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Doris Nealey and her two husbands, William J.D. Brown and Charles Elmo Smith. Lucille is survived by her daughter, Karen Brown Gay Brewster and husband Mike of Sherwood; Grandchildren, Rory Kyle Barker and wife Paige; Great-grandchildren, Drew Michael Barker, William Savage Barker and Charles Alan Barker.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the exceptional care given to Lucille by the staff of Foxridge, North Little Rock, Salem Place Nursing Home in Conway and Odyssey Hospice.
Lucille retired in 1987 after twenty years of service working at the Pulaski County Court house. She was of the Church of Christ faith.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel, 5509 JFK Blvd, Hwy 107, North Little Rock, AR. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Edgewood Memorial Park, North Little Rock, AR.
