Mrs. Gladys M. Anderson

Gladys M. Anderson, age 98, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, May 20, 2012, in Mountain Home.
Gladys was born on January 10, 1914 in Woodville, Texas to John and Maude Barrow Hamilton. She moved around a bit until she settled in San Diego, California. She lived there for many years and was a successful real estate broker focusing on selling properties in the Pacific Beach area. She retired to Mountain Home where she was a faithful member of East Side Baptist Church and volunteered for church activities, was active in the jail ministry and was noted for making chicken soup for the sick and cookies for Vacation Bible School and the jail ministry. She was also a member of the Baxter Regional Medical Center Auxiliary.
Mrs. Anderson is survived by her daughter-in-law, Mary Hazel of Mountain Home, her grandson, David (Jacque) Hazel: Seal Beach, California, her granddaughter, Lynn (John) Maxwell: Palo Cedro, California; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband James Hazel.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 24, 2012, from Noon-9:00 P.M. at Roller Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday in the Roller Chapel with Reverend Dr. Mike Shy officiating. Interment will be in Baxter Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the East Side Baptist Church Mission Fund.
