Alma Lois Thomas, 80 of Clovis, New Mexico, passed from her earthly life, to enter into her heavenly life and join her loving family members on Sunday, May 20, 2012. A resident of Kress, Texas before moving to Clovis in 1960, Mrs. Thomas was active in and a supported of the 4-H Club, and the County Fair for 14 years, the E.S.A. Sorority, Altusa Club and Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She volunteered and served as President of RSVP and FGP programs and was also on the advisory Board of RSVP. She served on the board of the “Cheyene Trails Housing Project”, was a member of the Education of the Curry Council on Aging from 1997. She was a substitute teacher in the Clovis School System. Lois will be remembered by all who knew her as a very thoughtful, most energetic person and for all her loving care. She enjoyed walking, bike riding, and especially snow skiing. She loved her family so very much.
Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her husband Frank Thomas, parents Phillip and Geneva Dreup Miller, two siblings, Buddy Miller and Betty Lane.
Survivors include her son James B. Christesson, Jr. and wife Cheryl of Brookfield, MO, daughter Jamois Sweatt and husband Roger of Clinton, AR; grandchildren, Stephanie Harris and husband Wes of Conway, AR, Josh Symonds, Misty Neff and Richard Cates; brother, Buster Miller and sister Dorothy Weil.
A gathering of remembrance will be announced by the family for a later date. Cremation arrangements are by Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. |
