Emma Louise Cochran, 85 of Greenbrier, passed away Friday, May 11, 2012. Born in Niantic, Illinois, she was a daughter to the late Donald and Wilma Lashbrook Bissey. Mrs. Cochran will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Mrs. Cochran had worked for the Wabash Railroad as an IBM operator, the City of Greenbrier as a police dispatcher, secretary for the Greenbrier United Methodist Church and most recently she was a volunteer at Conway Regional Medical Center. Her husband of 38 years, Donald Thomas Cochran and a brother Donald W. Bissey also preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son, Eddie Cochran and wife Lucinda of Greenbrier; grandchildren,Emma Jo Cochran and Cameron Cochran; sisters, Dody McQueen of Decatur, IL and Cheryl Bissey-Black and husband Dave of Marietta, GA and a host of friends. The family sends special thanks to Dr. Freeman and Amy and staff, Dr. McCoy, Dr. Stewart, the staff and nurses at Greenbrier Nursing and Rehab and the nursing staff in CCU at CRMC.
Service will be held at 3:00 pm, Monday, May 14, 2012, at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier with Bro. Freddie Mark Wilcox officiating. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Conway, with Donald Woodson, Mike Cardin, Shannon Mode, Craig Morris, O.D. Burchfield and Travis Burchfield serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Sunday, May 13, at the funeral home.
