William Jarrod Stewart

of Little Rock, AR

October 26, 1971 - February 29, 2012

William Jarrod Stewart, DDS, 40, passed away at Baptist Medical Center on February 29, 2012. He was born October 26, 1971 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He was a graduate of Warren High School. He received his under graduate degree from UALR and was a graduate of the LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans, Louisiana. He practiced dentistry in Hot Springs Village for a brief period of time and spent the past 10 years practicing dentistry in Little Rock, Arkansas. Jarrod had a deep love and compassion for animals. He enjoyed music, watching football games, traveling, working out at the gym and an occasional fishing trip. Jarrod was an enormous story teller, jokester and loved to pull pranks on people. At family gatherings, everyone always begged him to tell us funny stories.

Survivors are his parents, Larry and Vicky Stewart of Warren; one brother, Justin Stewart and his wife, Jaime of Malvern; two nephews, Seth Stewart and Evan Stewart from Malvern; grandmother, Irene Stewart of Hot Springs; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, many friends and, of course, his dog, Bella and two cats, Maverick and Rudy.

He was preceded in death by grandfathers Burl Stewart and Odell Clem; grandmother, Ruth Clem; and cousin, Lisa Cooley.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m., Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home Chapel (501)224-8300, with Reverend Larry Norrell officiating, and a visitation one hour prior to the service. Entombment will be at Riverwood Memorial Gardens in Maumelle, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Patrick Colclasure, Bryan Taylor, Jonathan Clem, Drew Clem, David Moore, Bryan Myers, and Joseph Perrone.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Pulaski County, 14600 Colonel Glenn Road, Little Rock, Arkansas 72210, or to the Arkansas Canine Rescue, Inc., 731 Grant 167005, Hensley, Arkansas 72065 who have helped place his beloved dog, Bella, in a loving and caring home.

Hello, I just found out about Jarrod's passing as I live abroad and just want to express my condolences to the family. Jarrod was a dear friend of mine and helped me through a very difficult time in my life as we had a lot in common. He was always such a happy, kind and sweet person and it breaks my heart to know he is gone. I hope his family know how he touched my life and how his help got me to where I am today. Rest in peace.

I just learned from a friend that Jarrod died. Im at a complete loss for words. Jarrod was a talented, handsome and funny guy, just the kind of person that you wanted to be around. We had alot in common and my prayers and thoughts are with the Stewart family. He is watching over all of us and I feel lucky to have known him.

My prayers are with all of those that Dr. Stewart touched in some way. I helped set up his appointments and insurance issues when he first started at Ocean Dental. He was kind, funny, generous, and never rude or above others. I was moved to another state but we would email or call each other occasionally. It was laid on my heart to call him earlier and never got around to it. I will regret that forever. There are no words except he made a difference and may he be doing the same where he is now. Aloha my friend, never goodbye.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Jarrod's family and to all of his friends. There has not been a day that has gone by that I don't think about Jarrod since he's passed. If there is any comfort to find in Jarrod's passing it would be to know just how many people Jarrod touched in his life. Everyone has the same story Kind, Funny, Gentle, Sincere, Compassionate, Jarrod was all of those things. Always willing to help a friend or a friend of a friend...even if he didn't know them. Just knowing he could help was what mattered to him. You were a great friend to me and I will miss your advice and candor. You are already missed so much!

Jarrod and I were college buddies at UALR and met up again about 10 years ago. Jarrod could always lighten a painful physics study session or any situation for that matter. His smile and laughter were infectious and he had such a good heart. I will miss you, my sweet friend. Go with God. My deepest sympathies to Jarrod's family.

Jarrod had one of the biggest hearts of anyone I have known. He genuinely cared for other people, and you could always count on him to be there for you if you needed him. He always had great advice to give and could almost always make you feel better by making you laugh. Dental school was difficult, but Jarrod made most every study session, class, or project entertaining and better. I have so many great memories of him and am grateful to have known him and called him a friend. My deepest condolences to the Stewart family.

I worked with Dr. Stewart for almost 5 years. He was a spit fire one day and a prankster the next. Some of my funniest times at work included him in some way..One time we gave him a fake lottery ticket and let him scratch it off. He was jumping up and down, his face turned red and his veins were showing in his neck. He thought he had won $10,000.00.
.He had a big personality and he will be greatly missed. My sympathy and prayers go out to the Stewart family. May God be with you at your time of need.

There are not enough words to express the love, respect and admiration I have for Jarrod. About 10 years ago I became Jarrod's trainer at the gym but we quickly became friends. Jarrod is one of my very best friends and was always there for me. I wish I could have been there for him. I will miss him so very much. My heart goes out to his family and friends (of which there are many). I hope he is at peace and I look forward to seeing him again.

Every year at every family holiday, I always look for Jarrod, I knew he'd be making everyone laugh and smile and I loved hearing his stories. Also, I never knew for sure if he'd be there for Easter or Thanksgiving or Christmas or how long he would stay but I always...always looked for him. I never knew Jarrod was unhappy but that was his character, made everyone smile while he cried on the inside. I will miss him very much and I'll still look for him at the family holidays. His funeral service was beautiful and I could have sat all day and listened to Pastor Larry speak all day, I didn't want him to stop talking, loved him. I love you Larry, Vicky and Justin.
