I just found this, so please forgive my delay in writing. Lois, I loved the summers we stayed on the farm--Mom couldn't be with us like Aunt Mary Ella. She sewed special dresses for my sister and me, let us pick beans, which now I see as a privilege, named 3 calves for us, and smelled wonderfully of Dove soap. When Jim and I were older, she realized I needed corrective lenses, so I didn't flunk out of every subject in school. I do very much believe that Jim went into the fishing business because Uncle Junior taught him about machinery and farming. It sealed a love of the outdoors, hard work, and independence in him. Aunt Mary Ella was a mother to me, and you are my sister.

With much love and appreciation,

Heidi

Lois Virginia, We are so sorry to hear of your mother's passing.
What a joy it is to know she is well now and looking with perfect sight at Christ our Saviour. It will be pure joy to join together again in heaven minus the pain of an aging body!
God's blessings and peace to you and your family.
With much love,
Jim & Diane holland

Lois Virginia,
I am so very sorry for your loss, she was a lot like your Rebecca and some qualities of Inez. Your Mother was a woman with a world of patience and love. That is in the proof of what she brought into this world. My prayers go out for you and yours. May God surely bles and always keep you and yours in His gentle care. Again, all of my deepest sympathies go out to you and yours.

I am sorry to hear of Mrs. Kincaid's passing. She was my fifth grade teacher at Cowgill Elementary. She was always kind and caring. She had me do peer tutoring in reading and so I credit her with helpingplant the seed that became a career for me - first grade and special reading teacher. My condolencees to your family.
