Juanita Kelley Painter, 91, of Batesville, died Sunday February 6, 2011 at White River Medical Center.
She was born in Desha, Arkansas on Friday, December 19, 1919 and was the daughter of James Albert and Dora Helm Kelley. She was a 1938 graduate of Batesville High School. Juanita raised horses and enjoyed showing them at horse shows. She was an avid Arkansas Razorback basketball fan and liked the Atlanta Braves and St. Louis Cardinals. Some of the other things she liked to do was crappie fishing and gardening.
She was a member of the Red Hat Society, and was a past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star, Ruth Chapter. She loved to read the Bible and was a member of the Ruddell Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law Larry and Delores Painter of Cherokee Village and Ronnie and Mary Painter of Batesville; a brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Alta Kelley of Paragould; seven grandchildren: Tina Alexander, Juanita Porter and Steven Painter all of Batesville; Scherry Foster of Searcy; Daren Painter of Atlanta, Georgia; Susan Nelms of Greenbrier; and Molly Moore of Buford, Georgia; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 51 years, Emmitt Painter; a son, Richard Painter; three sisters: Eunice White, Edna Robinson, Clara Wyatt; and four brothers: Jeff Kelley, Carter Kelley, Eugene Kelly and Norman Kelley.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Alderbrook Cemetery with Alan Brown officiating.
Pallbearers will be Daren Painter, Steven Painter, Chris Alexander, Matt Alexander, Jeffery Painter, Zachery Nelms, and Caleb Moore.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Ruddell Hill Baptist Church Building Fund, 805 Bethesda Road, Batesville, AR 72501.

Sorry to hear about Ms. Painter. She was a sweet lady. According to this picture, she never aged. Moma said she got to see her some time back and they visited for a few minutes.
Now they get to visit in gloryland. Will be praying for the family.

Ronnie & Larry, it has been a very long time since you and your parents lived down the street from us but I remember you all well. We had lots of fun. I called mother this morning and told her I saw your mom's obituary in the paper. She was very sad to hear the news. Our mother went home to the Lord on January 27th, 2011. Now her friend, Juanita, joins her and the rest of the Calvary Baptist Church Gleaners Sunday school class praising their Lord and Savior. Please find peace in knowing your mother rest in heaven with her many friends and family.
