Cecil Wade Kemp, 77, of Lepanto died on Thursday February 3, 2011 at his home. He was born February 11, 1933 in Kaiser to Oscar and Edna Reed Kemp. Cecil worked construction and hospital maintenance, and was a member of United Pentecostal Church. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He loved fishing, hunting and yard sales.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Larry Kemp; and two brothers, Carl Kemp and Bobby Kemp.

Survivors include a son, Steve Kemp of Paragould; a daughter, Donna Whittingham of Sherwood; a daughter-in-law, Rhonda Johnson of Dripping Springs, TX; eight grandchildren, Doug Whittingham, Kara Lloyd, Kayla Whittingham, Joseph Kemp, Chasity Weiss, Venita Hamilton, Karen Freeman, and Tommy Kemp; three great grandchildren, Alivia Whittingham, Maison Whittingham and Adien Hamilton; a brother, Gary Kemp of Manila; three sisters, Glenda Blain of Flint, MI, Paulette Maddox of Lepanto and Shirley Carter of West Ridge; and a close friend, Mary Shoulders of Lepanto.

Visitation and services will be Saturday at the Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Visitation will be from 10-11 am with the services beginning at 11 am with Rev. Russ Whittingham officiating. Burial will be private.

When I think of my earliest memories, I think of the times I stayed with Cecil and Betty at their home. Cecil has a special place in my heart and I will never forget him!! God Bless!! Charlie, Shonya, & Seth Harris
