Catherine M. Skompy, the last survivor of four daughters, was born to Thomas and Rose Skompy in Chicago, Illinois, on November 20, 1915.
Catherine M. Skompy died on November 10, 2009 at Hospice House in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
She was survived by several nieces and nephews who live out of state; and locally by friends and staff at Monroe House, and by dedicated caregivers at Hospice House.
Catherine M. Skompy was preceded in death by her sister, Angeline Whitebread and by her brother—in—law Donald W. Whitebread.
There will be no services locally and she will be interred at Oakwood Cemetery in Dixon, Illinois, 11:00am Wednesday, November 18, 2009.
